BOSTON, MA – September 7, 2022 — Toposware, the lead developer of Topos, an open interoperability protocol leveraging zero-knowledge proofs and reliable broadcast, today announced the establishment of its Technology Advisory Council to further strengthen its deep expertise in distributed systems, cryptoeconomics, and business. The company also welcomed financial services executive Oki Matsumoto to its board of directors for added advisory as the company nears Testnet launch in early 2023.
To achieve its goal of establishing a transformative interoperability infrastructure standard for Web3, Toposware’s Technology Advisory Council will provide unmatched guidance from esteemed industry professionals. Joining as inaugural advisors are Vijay Rao, director of infrastructure at technology conglomerate Meta, and Sara Tucci-Piergiovanni, head of laboratory and senior research engineer at CEA-List – Paris-Saclay University’s laboratory dedicated to trustworthy, distributed, and intelligent systems.
“In our mission to develop new technology solutions, the creation of Toposware's Technology Advisory Council will set us up for long-term success. Both Vijay and Sara will undoubtedly provide valuable insight – stemming from their robust professional backgrounds – that will help shape our path ahead as we look to transform the decentralized world,” said Theo Gauthier, CEO and founder of Toposware.
“Toposware is solving the complex and much needed interoperability infrastructure problems that Web3 is facing. The team has already demonstrated in-depth expertise in the field and I am looking forward to contributing to their efforts and advising them on how to significantly scale their solution,” said Rao.
Rao’s impressive business acumen and industry knowledge, combined with Tucci-Piergiovanni’s distributed systems and blockchain expertise, will be invaluable as Toposware accelerates towards launch and expands its infrastructure at scale. Toposware’s long-standing relationship with CEA-List led to the publication of the Toposware whitepaper – the backbone of interoperability protocol Topos – and enabled the company to benefit from Tucci-Piergiovanni’s valuable insights since early stages of development.
“Blockchain interoperability is a feature increasingly important to make the vision of the future Internet a reality, but it is still a big challenge to address. Toposware is working today on very promising ideas, always grounded on solid research, to make inter-chain interactions scalable and secure,” shared Tucci-Piergiovanni.
Continuing on its roadmap of rapid growth, Toposware also announced the appointment of Oki Matsumoto – founder, chairman, and CEO of financial services company Monex Group, Inc. – to its board of directors. Matsumoto will play a critical role in advising on challenges and opportunities facing Toposware as it strives to shape new standards for Web3.
“I have observed Toposware’s evolution and vision for Web3 and I believe it will be a key innovative infrastructure for the Internet of the future,” explained Matsumoto.
"Oki is a visionary, an entrepreneur, and a truly inspiring innovator that shaped technological adoption in the financial industry. His unique skills and experience are complementing our Board," said Gauthier. "Oki's influence in Web3 provides us with key insights as the company is accelerating towards launch.”
Topos is expected to launch on Testnet in early 2023 and Mainnet later in 2023. To learn more, visit toposware.com and sign up for the Topos newsletter.
